Islamorada and Everglades Fishing Report
Over the past few weeks we’ve had a series of cold fronts come through south florida and we’ve enjoyed some good days on the water. Usually after these fronts come in I like to take advantage of snook and redfish up on the flats sunning themselves. We had some great days in the everglades sight casting to some nice snook and big redfish.
In Islamorada I’ve been up on the deeper edges of the flats looking for bonefish feeding and mudding. In my experience these fish are much easier to catch than a tailing bonefish just because they have more water over their heads and it allows you to be a little more aggressive with your presentation wether its a fly or a shrimp. Ive also been finding a good amount of baby tarpon on some islands and shorelines and these little tarpon are always a blast.
