Islamorada Fishing Report
Well its been a while since I’ve posted a fishing report so I figured I should get on here write a quick report and share some photos of some cool catches. Ive been blessed to stay busier than ever fishing this year and along with having my son earlier the year its hard for me to get on here and write a report.
This summer was amazing with long stretches of beautiful weather along with some really amazing fishing. Every morning started off either with taling bonefish or packs of baby tarpon rolling around and if you got your bait or fly anywhere near them it was a guaranteed hook up. Bonefishing this summer was the best I have seen since 2010. Our bonefish took a turn for the worse after our freezing cold snap in 2010 but I’m happy to say they have made a real strong comeback. Permit fishing remained consistently good all summer long.
Fall is here and the mullet have invaded the back country. The snook fishing around these mullet have been good along with the redfish. I look forward to getting out on the water the next few days and if your looking for a fishing charter give me a call, I have availability in November and December. I expect the snook and redfish to remain good along with some big bonefish around downtown Islamorada and Biscayne bay.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the pictures!!
